New Kenya United States Maritime Training Facility Enhances Coastal Security
Kenya and the United States have strengthened maritime security cooperation through the commissioning of a new Marine Range and Close Quarters Battle training facility at Kenya Navy Base Mtongwe. The investment reflects a shared commitment to improving operational readiness and enhancing security along one of Africa's most strategically important coastlines.

According to reports, the facility includes a 100 metre small arms range and a live fire training area designed to support realistic operational exercises. The infrastructure will be used to train personnel involved in maritime security operations and is expected to play an important role in strengthening preparedness across a range of mission areas.
